A couple of things, if I can hold your attention, before I post the rule list.
Firstly, the full rule list is very daunting to look at, and it's easy to just go TL; DR at it. If you've played a lot of Warriors RPs before, you can pretty much ignore it. There are just lots of extra rules so as to make it totally bulletproof
Secondly, the original rules in this list were made partly by me, Pteriforever, but partly by Rabbitbound, Poppymoon, and Lunarni, so this rule list WILL resemble the Ivory Wings rule list to a degree.
Section A: Sitewide rules. These apply everwhere, either in or out of RP.
1. Strictly NO SWEARING. You will receive a warning for posting swear words.
2. Please not that "damn:, "crap", and "hell" do NOT count as swear words. They are perfectly legal except in RPs.
3. No posting gross, disturbing, pornographic, or illegal material or you will be instantly banhammered permanently.
4. The first three warnings go without repercussions. The fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth will result in 1, 3, 7, 14, and 30 day bans respectively. Ninth warnings will result in permanent bans.
5. The warning counter is reduced by one every three months.
6. You will receive a warning yourself if you discriminate against people with warnings. Give them a few more chances to change, people.
7. Any of the following activities under the broad category of spamming are not allowed and will result in a warning if they are not in the forum games board, where they are allowed:
a: Posting more than 42 smileys in a row or more than 4000 smileys in a single post.
b: Creating posts that consist entirely of smileys.
c: Advertising without permission.
d: Posting the same message more than thrice in a row. Twice is quite common as forums sometimes glitch and post the same message twice. Thrice is less likely. Four times means trouble.
e: Posting total garbage (i.e. jkgahsdglkjdshgkdshfklsjhl PINEAPPLE GIRAFFE LOTTERY FIRE MONKEY uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu)
f: Posting on the same thread more than 5 times in a row.
g: This does not apply when the extra posts are either bumps or provide new information.
h: Purposefully derailing threads.
8. No begging to be moderator. If we need a new moderator, we'll make a moderator election.
9. All posts are to be in English only.
10. No whining without a reason.
11. No suicidal emos.
12. If a higher-leveled member tells you to do something, do it.
13. No online hoaxes.
14. Except on April Fools Day.
15. Don't threaten to leave to get what you want.
16. Don't threaten to leave, full stop. Just leave if you want to.
Section B: RP-Specific Rules. These only apply to RP, not outside RP.
17. Form is as follows:
Code:
NAME: (traditional please)
RANK: (obvious if you've read Warriors)
GENDER: (just M or F will do)
AGE: (Kits are 0-6 months. Apprentices are 6-15 months. Warriors are 11-90 months. (Yes, there is some overlap between Apprentices and Warriors. Not all Apprentices receive their ceremony at the same exact age. ) Elders are 70-130 months (same here). Rogues are anywhere. Loners can reach 180 and Kittypets can reach 240, because domestic cats live longer than feral cats, obviously.)
FAMILY: (Required if your character is a kit. Doesn't necessarily need to include any of the other player characters)
BELIEFS: (Required)
APPEARANCE: (Required)
PERSONALITY: (Required)
HISTORY: (Optional, because it's so irritating to write.)
SKILLS: (What are they good at? What are they bad at? Optional.)
OTHER DESCRIPTION: (Optional. You may want to include their fears, likes, and dislikes. If they have a disability, you can put that here too.)
18. New members can only have 3 characters, but once they've shown that they're good at RPing and have a solid understanding of the rules and the Warriors canon, they can have up to 8 depending on their post count.
19. Of those characters, only three can have a special position and they must be in different Clans.
20. You can control characters that have the same position in multiple Clans, but the same player is not allowed to control more than one Leader.
21. You can only have 3 apprentices at the same time. Medicine cat apprentices count.
22. You can't have more than 4 cats that aren't mature-aged. This is to avoid the glut of apprentices and young warriors that people like to create as their first characters.
23. RP is done in the RP sections only.
24. Use the special RP sections, available directly from the "The Clans" page, if you want to RP StarClan cats, other animals, characters who haven't been accepted yet, or faraway cats (i.e. Any cat who doesn't interact with the Clans very much). They can move onto the main RP sections if they become more central to the plot later on.
25. This is an ALL-LEVELS RP site. Every level of RPing is allowed, and I will get really mad if I see goody-goody over-literate RPers discriminate against people who make a lot of typos or who don't make their RP posts as long them. Or people who simply don't want to write 5+ lines in a post.
26. Encouragements, discouragements, and bans will be listed on the main page. These will be things that admins pull out if there are too many apprentices in RiverClan or not enough female elders or something like that.
27. There will be NO hyphens between the two name parts if the first part ends with the same letter that the second begins with. There is no hyphen in the names Mossstar or Leaffeather, for example.
28. I'd like to keep warrior names mostly traditional, that meaning that they only use name parts used in Sunset or earlier.
29. This will be bent at times, though. We're here to have fun, remember.
30. Two characters can only become official mates by mutual consent.
31. Only characters that have an official mate may have kits.
32. If there is no consent yet, It is a "crush".
33. Only Characters that are fully mature -- 15+ months -- can have an official mate or have kits.
34. Don't bring real life onto In-character RP boards. That's what the chat boards are for.
35. This means that no cats may have real-life counterparts, and no cats from real-life may appear in the RP.
36. If a cat has kits, they will be shared evenly between that cat's player and its mate's player. If they don't want all of them or keeping all of them would overflow one or both of the players' character limits, any left-over kits will be put up for adoption.
37. Cats that are unclaimed in the adoptions board for 1 month or apprentices that are without mentors for 2 months will be MODKILL'D.
38. Mary Sue-type cats are usually caught by the moderators before they cause trouble, but if some are causing trouble, complain to a staff member and we'll do something about it. The moderators and admins will contact whoever plays the offending cat and politely ask them to change. If they don't comply, their character might be MODKILL'D, but that's the last resort.
39. Likewise, any other problems you're having with the RP will be sorted out by the moderators.
40. Leaders decide normal apprentices' warrior names. Medicine cats decide medicine cat apprentices' warrior names.
41. Mary-Sue-type cats are not allowed, but because everyone has different opinions on what does and what doesn't constitute a Mary Sue, only staff members may take action.
42. No power-play, god-play, god-modding, or whatever the heck else you want to call it. This is when you take control of other players' characters to make your characters invincible, making moves during fights without allowing the opposing character's player to respond, doing over-the-top things, killing another player's cat without consent, seizing control of the plot by controlling all of StarClan, and so on and so on and so on.
43. Although we do not aim for biological accuracy, and characters' appearances can be spiced up a bit( meaning that cats can be combinations of colors that wouldn't be allowed otherwise, and cats may have different patterns that wouldn't appear in real life) this doesn't mean that you can have sparkly cats. I don't want to see any pink cats, or StarClan forbid, feathery cats with rainbow eyes.
44. Stay on topic during RPs. (You can put your side conversations in parentheses, but don't spam the boards with whole pages full of off-topic conversation)
45. No graphic "Having kits" or anything along those lines in or out of RP, Mild Violence is okay. And you can have kits, just not describe the whole thing.
Firstly, the full rule list is very daunting to look at, and it's easy to just go TL; DR at it. If you've played a lot of Warriors RPs before, you can pretty much ignore it. There are just lots of extra rules so as to make it totally bulletproof
